ARRCS

COVID-19 guidance for ARRCS employees and volunteers

Aged care facilities

  • Children should not visit our aged care facilities, unless absolutely necessary.

  • It is recommended you wear a mask indoors or when you can’t physically distance to reduce your risk of exposure to influenza and COVID-19

    • Practice good hand hygiene

    • Stay home if unwell

    • Stagger your working hours and days within your team, where practical, to minimise the risk of transmission between team members. This includes not sharing breaks, as sharing breaks has been shown to significantly increase the risk of infection.

Home care services

  • In-home care remains active: Blue Care and ARRCS in-home community aged care services remain active as usual.

  • Hand Hygiene and Social Distancing: All community aged care staff should practise good hand-hygiene as outlined on this website and maintain social distancing with their clients.
